SFTP Usage

Parent

Windows

  1. Download WinSCP.
  2. Type in your host, username, and password.
  3. Click on login or save.
  4. Accept the certificate.
  5. Start transferring files.

Linux

  1. Open up a terminal.
  2. Type sftp user@host.
  3. Accept the RSA key by typing yes
  4. Type in your password.
  5. Start transferring files.

Exmaple:

[code-cat@code-cat ~]$ sftp code-cat@localhost
Connecting to localhost...
The authenticity of host 'localhost (127.0.0.1)' can't be established.
RSA key fingerprint is xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx.
